2tablespoonsmaple syrupI used dark, but regular works too
1-2tablespoonsheavy creamor milk
Instructions
In a medium-sized bowl, stir together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and heavy cream or milk until well combined. Add the milk/cream gradually until you reach the desired consistency.
Then either drizzle it on top of cooled cookies, donuts, cinnamon rolls, or cakes, or pipe it to create a pattern.
Notes
Apply to Cooled Desserts Only: It is important to make sure that your desserts have cooled down completely before you add the maple glaze to them. If you add it too soon, the glaze will melt and fall off the dessert.
Add Spice: This is a basic maple glaze, but to take it up a notch add a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or pumpkin spice!
For a Deeper Maple Flavor go for dark maple syrup, or you can add maple extract. I've never seen it sold in stores, but I order it from Amazon.
For a Richer Flavor: Add 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter.
