Cream Cheese Frosting for Cookies

– 1 stick unsalted butter  – 8 oz cream cheese  – 3 cups powdered sugar – 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract – ¼ teaspoon salt

How to Make Cream Cheese Frosting

Place softened butter and cream cheese in a large bowl. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat until creamy.

Decrease speed to low, gradually add powdered sugar, half a cup at a time. Ensure each addition is fully incorporated before adding the next.

Once the sugar is fully mixed in, add vanilla extract and salt and beat again. Increase mixer speed to high and beat for 3 minutes, until frosting is fluffy and spreadable.
