Easy Football Cookies are perfect for a Super Bowl party, or any football-themed party! They require no baking and are super easy to make. All you need is a pack of your favorite cookies (or use one of my recipes to make them from scratch!), candy melts, and some sprinkles to make them!
Super Bowl parties are all about fun appetizers and snacks in our house! But we recently started making fun desserts too. I often make these incredibly delicious Football Cookie Cups that I top with chocolate-covered almonds that look like tiny footballs, but this year I thought I’d share an even easier recipe with you, these No Bake Football Cookies!
The good news is that you don’t need an oven, or any cookie cutters to make these cookies. They’re not football-shaped either as I wanted to share a new idea, and the kids absolutely love decorating these.

Why You Will Love This Recipe
- No-Bake! This recipe requires no baking at all! All you have to do is melt the candy melts in the microwave or on a double boiler
- No Recipe. I’m not even sure that we call this a recipe, it’s so simple as all you have to do is dip the Oreos in candy coating and decorate!
- No Special Equipment Needed. Seriously, all you need is a bowl, fork, and a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Key Ingredients
Complete list of ingredients with quantities and instructions is located in the recipe card below
- Oreos: Use your favorite Oreo cookies! I go for regular Oreos or double Oreos, flavored ones would also be perfect for these. Oh, have you seen the special edition Most Oreo Oreos by the way? We tried them, and they’re amazing!
- Melting Wafers: I used green and yellow melting wafers to create the stadium and the yard lines.
- Sprinkles: Rainbow nonpareil sprinkles is what you need here.
How To Make Football Field Cookies
Start by preparing a large cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside. This will help with transferring the cookies to the fridge to set, and for easy clean up after you’re done.
- Add the green melting wafers to a large bowl. Next, place that bowl over a stovetop pot containing 3-4 inches of water. Bring water to a boil, creating a double boiler. Stir the wafers frequently using a rubber spatula as the chocolate melts. Continue to stir until the chocolate is smooth, silky, and fully melted. When done, remove from heat. Repeat with the yellow melting wafers, or gently melt them in the microwave.
- Using two forks or dipping tools, dip each Oreo into the green melted candy coating, covering it completely.
- Place each chocolate-covered Oreo on parchment paper and immediately decorate half of each cookie with sprinkles. I like to use any small object that covers half of the cookie, so I don’t get sprinkles everywhere.
- Add the yellow melted candy to a small pipping bag, and pipe the 50-yard line by placing the number 5 on the left side of the center line and the number 0 on the right side of the center line, with yellow lines in between.
- Repeat this process for all the football cookies.
- Place in the refrigerator and allow to cool and harden for an additional 20 minutes before serving.
Storing
Store these chocolate-covered Oreos in an airtight container for up to 2-3 weeks at room temperature or in the fridge. If you store them in the fridge, add a paper towel to the container to absorb any moisture as condensation will happen.
